Battery pack current, voltage, and temperature sensor--AS8512

Date2024-10-15

The AS8512 IVT sensor is a data acquisition front-end integrated circuit designed specifically for battery management systems. It features near-zero offset, low noise, and dual-channel current and voltage measurement capabilities. The AS8512 is uniquely designed to work with a 100 µOhm shunt resistor in series with the battery rail, enabling precise current measurements ranging from mA to kA levels. Additionally, its second measurement channel can synchronously capture battery voltage in tandem with current or measure the analog output of internal/external temperature sensors. The AS8512 outputs measurement data via a 4-wire SPI serial interface. With its high-precision data acquisition and cost-optimized design, it is an ideal choice for energy storage system (ESS) battery management systems.
